Karee Van Wert White, author of Ash Woven
"Strength is not always loud. But it is often passed from one generation to the next."

Karee Van Wert White's life has been shaped by service, resilience, family, and the unshakable belief that even the hardest stories can carry hope. A former Army Major, she comes from a family whose military service stretches across generations — a legacy woven deeply into her own story, and into the lives of the children she and her husband Jim have raised.

Together, Karee and Jim are the parents of nine. Seven of their children have served, or are currently serving, in the United States military. What began as a family tradition has become a family identity — a thread connecting Karee to the ancestors who came before her, and to the generations of her family still actively answering the call.

The strength we need has been waiting for us all along — in the lives of those who came before.

For the last twelve years, Karee's life has also been profoundly shaped by a different kind of service: caregiving. Her oldest daughter, Kimmy, suffered a traumatic brain injury that changed the course of their family's life. The experience deepened Karee's commitment to advocacy, to caregiving, and to the slow, sacred work of finding purpose inside pain.

It was out of that long journey — and the discovery of ancestral strength that carried her through it — that Ash Woven was born.

Today, Karee is the founder of the I Love Everyone Foundation, an organization created to bring dignity, hope, and possibility to people who are too often overlooked. Through her advocacy, she has championed veterans, caregivers, brain injury survivors, and families navigating life after trauma. Ash Woven is, in many ways, the story behind that mission — and an invitation for others to find their own way forward.

The I Love Everyone Foundation

Born from the belief that everyone deserves possibility.

Karee founded the I Love Everyone Foundation to extend the work that Ash Woven only begins to tell — bringing dignity, hope, and tangible support to veterans, caregivers, brain injury survivors, and the families walking the long road beside them.
